White paper encourages sector to embrace digital innovation

White paper encourages sector to embrace digital innovation

A social care technology company has launched its latest white paper showcasing the importance of technological innovation.

HAS Technology, which specialises in technology for prevention, automation and data collection, has published How can dynamic use of social care technology support the ‘new normal?

The white paper highlights how digital transformation can improve processes, drive quality and deliver intelligence to support future challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Care providers, commissioners and stakeholders continue to operate in a challenging and strained health and social care environment. The paper emphasises that with the added risks of a predicted second wave, now is the time to embrace technology to support statutory duties and discover new, better ways of doing things.

It includes examples of how technology has helped providers during the pandemic and where it can support to help mitigate risks and improve quality.

Mark Kennion, HAS Technology’s Commercial Director, commented: “The social care sector has historically seen barriers to adopting technology, but the pandemic has proved that digital solutions are flexible and able to contribute to sustainability and resilience.

“The aim of our white paper is to showcase these benefits, with real case studies and evidence of social care organisations that have embraced technological innovations. Those that had previously adopted our solutions have seen clear benefits to how it can be used remotely and be adapted during times of crisis. It really does provide a flexible way forward.”

As technology becomes more widely recognised as a way of supporting the health and care sector during the pandemic, HAS Technology hope that attitudes to digital solutions, and the willingness to adopt, will have a long-term positive effect.
