Having the right internet connection to the premises itself is the first step – with either:

  • A fixed-line broadband connection of suitable speed – the recommended option (see our quick guide to care home broadband for more information)
  • Mobile broadband (see our quick guide to mobile and satellite internet for care providers) offers an alternative where a fast enough fixed-line broadband connection isn’t currently available at your location.
