In April we set up a new telephone helpline to support the adult social sector to harness technology during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to demand, we’ve decided to extend the helpline for a further 4 weeks to share our skills and knowledge with you.
Our helpline is open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday by calling 0208 133 3430 or by email on [email protected]
We’ve received over 250 calls in the last 6 weeks. We know that it’s a challenging time in social care, so we’ve been providing practical advice to troubleshoot technical issues and given in-depth one-to-one support.
Whether you’ve got a question about NHSmail, MSTeams or remote care and monitoring software, we can help you better understand digital tools. During the last few weeks, we’ve help providers with connectivity issues, access to hardware, cybersecurity, and data restrictions.
We’ve also been working with The Institute of Public Care, Oxford Brookes and NHSX collecting feedback from the helpline and undertaking research to rapidly collate best practice on how technology is being used in our sector.
We’ve been learning about the effectiveness of the technology providers use, the challenges you encounter, and we’ve been putting together recommendations. If you’d like to learn more about the results of the research when its complete, please contact us and we’ll be in touch.
